"What's up?"

Tue Jul 10, 2007, 10:14 AM
"What's up?". One of the most common phrases one says to another. Most commonly used in an attempt to begin a conversation, to show interest in someone’s everyday life, or to fill the awkward silence that will most surely devour anyone and everyone that tells the little toddler of decaying darkness and stereotypical sterility that it cannot, in fact, have a cookie.

Yes, the term can be looked upon as something helpful, a basic outline or a cheat-cheat for someone who is incapable when it comes to communicating with a creature of the same race.

Occasionally.

However, after a while, the charm of this simple sentence wears off.

It's like kicking a puppy. The first time, it's mildly amusing, and with the right audience, you can make someone choke on their own spit. Nevertheless, after the puppy has been kicked one too many times, the little bundle of joy begins to cry. And when a puppy cries, no one thinks it's funny. So, then why do people continue to kick the puppy?

Just bored, I guess. Maybe. I dunno.

EXACTLY. The poor puppy. How would you feel if someone kicked you like that?
